He also drew his 17th walk, second-highest in the N.L. Pederson had batted either 7th or 8th until manager Don Mattingly reconfigured the batting order ***

  • Detroit’s Ian Kinsler went 2-for-5 with a double in Wednesday’s 10-7 win over the Twins ***

  • In only his third start for the Syracuse Chiefs and on just two days’ rest, Nationals prospect Richard Bleier (AAA) pitched one of the best games of his career Wednesday. Over 6 innings, the 28-year-old southpaw yielded one earned run on 6 hits, walking none and striking out three in a 5-1 win ***
