Hitter of the Week: Cody Decker (Diamondbacks)

1B Cody Decker (Diamondbacks/AAA/Reno Aces) hit .346 (9-for-26) with 3 HRs, 2 doubles, 6 RBI, and a .433 on-base percentage. What’s more, Decker’s May 28th round-tripper was his 200th in the minor leagues, #1 among all active minor leaguers.

Pitcher of the Week: Brandon Gold (Rockies)

Brandon Gold (Rockies/AA/Hartford Yard Goats) was almost unhittable in a June 1 start, pitching 6 scoreless innings on just 2 hits and no walks while striking out 5 to earn his 6th win against 3 defeats. For the season, Gold has struck out 49 batters in 56 innings and walked just 7.

  • C Garrett Stubbs (Astros) made his MLB debut on May 28.
  • P Rob Kaminsky (Indians/AAA/Columbus Clippers) was promoted to Triple-A for the first time in his 7-year pro career.

  • 2B Ty Kelly (Angels/AAA/Salt Lake Bees) hit 357 (10-for-28) with a double, 2 RBIs, and a .419 OBP last week.

  • P Simon Rosenblum Larson (Rays/High-A/Charlotte Stone Crabs) pitched 4 scoreless innings across 2 games, yielding one hit and 2 walks while striking out 4. For the year, he is 0-1 with a 1.42 ERA and 4 saves in 4 chances,
