Hitter of the Week: Zack Kone (Pirates)

SS Zack Kone (Pirates/A/Greensboro Grasshoppers) made the most of his .214 (6-for-28) average, stroking 2 home runs and a double, driving in 9 runs, stealing two bases, and recording a .333 OBP. The highlight: a two-out, grand-slam HR on April 23.

Simon Rosenblum Larson (Rays/High-A/Charlotte Stone Crabs) earned 3 saves in 3 chances last week. In 3.1 total innings, the second-year pitcher yielded one earned run on a hit and no walks while striking out 5.

  • P Jake Fishman (Blue Jays/AA/New Hampshire Fisher Cats) pitched 3.1 scoreless innings across 2 appearances, yielding one hit and 3 walks while striking out 4 and earning his first save of the season.
  • P Sam Delaplane (Mariners/High-A/Modesto Nuts) had a tough outing on April 25, yielding 3 earned runs over 2 innings, but he held opponents hitless in two other relief appearances.
