Ryan Braun is on fire this month, and Friday’s game was one of the 31-year-old’s best. The 2011 N.L. MVP reached base all four times in Milwaukee’s 11-0 trouncing of Atlanta and drove in four runs with a 2-run HR, a 2-run double, another double, and a walk.
Here is a comparison of Braun’s May and March/April stats, through games played Saturday, 5/24/2015:
PA | H | 2B | HR | RBI | SB | BB | SO | BA | OBP | SLG | OPS | |
Apr/Mar | 75 | 18 | 0 | 4 | 10 | 1 | 3 | 16 | .254 | .293 | .423 | .716 |
May | 93 | 22 | 5 | 7 | 24 | 3 | 14 | 17 | .289 | .391 | .632 | 1.023 |

- 13.4 at-bats per HR (4th in N.L.)
- 11 HRs (5th/tie)
- 34 RBIs (4th)
- .531 slugging percentage (10th)
- 5.9 power-speed (8th)
