Jewish Baseball News is unveiling its list of 2024’s top Division 1 baseball players. Our All-America team includes 9 position players and 7 pitchers representing a total of 16 colleges and universities. Five of the players hail from California.
Featured on the roster is sophomore LHP Ryan Prager, who helped take Texas A&M University to the finals of the 2024 College World Series and won multiple awards.

POSITION PLAYERS
Our second baseman is Henry Godbout (University of Virginia), who led the Cavaliers with a .372 batting average (64-for-172) and .472 OBP, drilled 9 homers (#5), drove across 47 runs (#5), cracked 18 doubles (#3/tied), drew 29 walks, fanned just 20 times (#1), and stole 6 of 9 bases. In the field, Henry registered a .982 fielding percentage with 91 putouts, 126 assists, and 4 miscues. He was named a 2024 Second Team All-America selection by Baseball America.
Our shortstop is Benjamin Rosengard (University of California-San Diego) who ranked #4 on team with .284 batting average (50-for-176), stroked 3 HRs, drove in 27 runs (#5), pilfered 7/7 SBs (#3/tied), received 17 walks, fanned 40 times, and defended flawlessly at 1.000, with 41 putouts, 98 assists, and zero errors.
Our first baseman, Ethan Swidler (Lafayette College), led the Leopards in batting with a .327 average (52-for-159) — the next highest average was .275 — unloaded 9 four-baggers (#1/tied), accounted for 35 RBIs (#2), and finished #1 in OBP (.460), slugging percentage (.572), and OPS (1.033). Ethan was named a First Team All-Patriot League selection.
Defending the hot corner is 3B Michael Snyder (University of Oklahoma), who ranked #2 among teammates with a .354 batting average (81-for-229), clouted 11 round-trippers (#2), drove in 59 runs (#2), laced 26 doubles (#1), hustled for 16 of 17 SBs (#1), erupted for a team-high .638 slugging percentage. and defended at .977 with 331 putouts, 45 assists, and 9 errors. Michael was named a 2024 First Team All-Big 12 selection. Snyder was selected by Miami Marlins in Round 10 of 2024 MLB Draft.
Our outfield patrol starts off with Ellis Schwartz (George Washington University), who led his team with a .356 batting average (72-for-202), went yard with 5 dingers (#2), posted 43 RBIs (#1), smacked 12 doubles (#4), delivered a .961 OPS (#2), and beat the tag for 25 of 29 stolen bases (#2), while defending the outfield at .976 with 160 putouts, 2 assists, and 4 errors. Ellis was named GW’s 2024 MVP.
Our second outfielder is Phil Bernstein (University of Richmond), who ranked #3 among Spiders with a .330 batting average (73-for-221), clubbed 3 homers, drove home 45 runs (#2), spanked 17 doubles (#1), amassed more walks (33) than strikeouts (26), made off with 9 of 13 stolen bases, and fielded at .984 with 119 putouts, 5 assists, and 2 errors. Phil was named a 2024 Atlantic 10 All-Academic selection.
Our final fly-catcher is Dylan Drumke (Eastern Illinois U.), who ranked #6 on the Panthers with a .292 batting average (57-for-195), went deep 15 times (#2), drove in 51 runs (#2), made off with 14 of 19 stolen bags, cracked 11 doubles (#4), amassed a .579 slugging percentage (#2), and defended flawlessly at 1.000 with 87 putouts, 4 assists, and zero errors. Dylan was named a 2024 Academic All-District selection by College Sports Communicators.
Set up behind the plate is C Bennett Markinson (Northwestern University), who led the team in hitting at`.337 (68-for-202) and with a .903 OPS, smashed 6 four-baggers (#4/tied), cashed-in 34 runs (#4), and clubbed 10 doubles (#3). Markinson’s 12.6% strikeout rate was the 18th-best among all D-1 batters nationwide. On defense, he fielded at .994 with 276 putouts, 37 assist, and 2 errors, and he threw out an impressive 21 of 46 runners who attempted to steal a base.
Our designated hitter, Noah Rabin (Illinois State University), produced a .303 batting average (55-for-185), led the Redbirds (as well as all Jewish collegians) with 18 HRs, ranked #1 among his teammates with a 10.44% home-run frequency and 1.020 OPS, and finished #3 with 50 RBIs (tied). Noah was named a 2024 Academic All-District selection by College Sports Communicators.
PITCHERS
Starters
LHP Charlie Goldstein (University of Georgia) recorded a 4-1 record and served as the Dawgs’ starter in 7 of his 11 appearances. He ranked #2 among Bulldogs pitchers with a 3.72 ERA over 36.1 innings, put together a 1.35 WHIP (#3), had a 3.07 strikeout-to-walk ratio (#2), and averaged 10.65 strikeouts per inning. Goldstein was selected by Mariners in Round 5 of 2024 MLB draft.
RHP Paxton Meyers (Brown University) finished the season 4-4 and ranked #1 on his team with a 4.43 ERA and 1.63 WHIP over 65.0 innings. He was joined on the Bears by 1B Mark Henshon and fellow starting pitcher Jacob Young.
LHP Ryan Prager, the ace of Texas A&M University’s starting rotation, went 9-1, ranked #2 among Aggies pitcher in wins, recorded a 2.95 ERA, finished with a 1.05 WHIP (#3/tied), and yielded just 2 hits and a walk over 6.2 scoreless innings in a 5-1 College World Series win over the University of Kentucky. Meanwhile, Ryan ranked #9 among all D-1 pitchers nationwide with a strikeout-to-walk ratio of 6.20. He was named a 2024 First Team All-America selection by Baseball America, a 2024 Second Team All-Region selection by the American Baseball Coaches Association, and a 2024 Second Team All-America selection by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association. Prager was selected by Los Angeles Angels in Round 3 of 2024 MLB Draft.
Our final starter is RHP Austin Wainer (Bryant University), a native of Johns Creek, GA, who amassed a 7-3 record and 4.52 ERA over 85.2 innings. Austin made 16 starts with one complete game. He was named to 2024 First Team All-America East Conference and 2024 First Team All-New England.
Relievers
LHP Eli Atiya (University of Delaware) finished the 2024 season with a 4-2 and 5.43 ERA over 56.1 innings, ranked #3 on the Blue Hens with a 1.42 WHIP, and earned 3 saves (#2).
RHP Charlie Beilenson (Duke University) served as the Blue Devils’ closer, finished with a 7-3 record, and ranked at or near the top among all D-1 pitchers in several categories. He finished #2 nationally with a 2.01 ERA over 62.2 innings, #4 with 12 saves (tied), and #16 with 13.21 strikeouts per inning. Charlie was named one of ten finalists for the 2024 Stopper of the Year by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association, a 2024 First Team All-America selection by the American Baseball Coaches Association, a 2024 First Team All-Conference selection by the ACC, a 2024 National Pitcher of the Year Award semifinalist by the College Baseball Foundation, and a 2024 Second Team Academic All-America selection by College Sports Communicators. Beilenson was selected by Seattle Mariners in Round 5 of 2024 MLB Draft.
RHP Josh Blum (University of Southern California), who served as the Bruins’ closer, went 2-1 over 27 appearances, tied for #14 among all D-1 pitchers nationwide with 10 saves, finished with a razor-thin 1.87 ERA and 0.86 WHIP, and averaged 12.03 strikeouts per 9 innings. Josh was named All-PAC 12, 1st-team. He was selected in Round 16 of 2024 MLB draft.
RHP Aaron Mishoulam (Michigan State University) finished 2024 with a 3-2 record, team-leading 4 saves (tied), a 4.65 ERA (#4), WHIP of 1.35 (#3), and 50 strikeouts over 50.1 innings.
